Wired said to name Brown as next editor

More than a year after returning to Wired, Joe Brown reportedly is tapped to become top editor there.

"Media news Twitter activate: Congratulations to the new editor of http://Wired.com , @joemfbrown," announces senior staff writer Mat Honan.

"Congrats on the bigger office @joemfbrown," journalist Armando Rodriguez responds to the news.

"Oh, congrats to @joemfbrown who is now, more than ever, my sworn enemy. And car confident. Some mix of the two," divulges Jalopnik editor-in-chief Matt Hardigree.

At Guardian US, Spencer Ackerman offers an interesting reaction: "I'd like to congratulate @joemfbrown but he stopped following me, so this is going to escalate into revengetwitter."

... So many different kinds of Twitter.
