Weiss departs New Yorker for NYT Mag

Dec 18, 2014

The New York Times Magazine welcomes Sasha Weiss into the fold as their new story editor. Previously The New Yorker's culture desk editor, Weiss sounds like a great fit for her new gig, having managed the Page Turner blog as well as the Book Bench blog.

"Next week I will be giving Thanks for this: the brilliant @sashagila is joining the @NYTmag as a story editor!" reacts NYT Magazine EIC Jake Silverstein.

"You won't be alone. Hooray!" adds Parul Sehgal.

"Congratulations to @sashagila on her new gig as a story editor over at @NYTmag. Great hire," reflects New York Magazine's Kathryn Schulz.
