Journalism job moves for Friday

Two big ticket items for this morning:

  • At ABC NewsByron Pitts (right) is named Nightline co-anchor as Dan Abrams steps down. Read all about it here.
  • Huffington Post UK's Mehdi Hasan (far right) heads to Washington, D.C. to host a new weekly show on Al Jazeera EnglishFind out more here.

Meanwhile, elsewhere in the industry:

  • Tasneem Raja is prepped to join NPR as senior digital editor of their Identity and Culture unit. Raja is currently wrapping up as senior editor with Mother Jones.
  • Stephen Heuser will soon be the editor of The Agenda at Politico. Heuser is currently the Ideas editor at The Boston Globe.
  • TIME names Ian Bremmer foreign affairs columnist and editor-at-large. Bremmer will also retain his role as president of the Eurasia Group.
