Question of the Day

Friday's question asked: A 27-year-old woman in Seminole, Fla. is accused of slapping a 72-year-old woman ... for what reason? Believe it or not, that would be refusing a Facebook friend request.

Congratulations to Ken Walker of the Tampa Bay Times for being the first to answer that (the TB Times was one of the first to report on the story)! Honorable mentions also go out to colleague Craig Pittman (who had already been tweeting about it, for obvious reasons!), Francis Hinchey (who adds the request was declined because the older woman "didn't like her Facebook name"), Dan Rosenbaum (who dubbed it "anti-social media"), and Paul DelColle for getting that right. Awards for most humorous (f not quite accurate) answers go to Kevin Simmons, who joked, "As a driver in Sarasota I can only imagine it was due to the EXTREMELY slow turns they make" and Nate Russell, who guessed "age palindrome phobia?" (A clever theory!)

As for today's question, here it is: Stephen Colbert said goodbye to the Colbert Report in dramatic, musical fashion last week.  How did he officially "finish off" his satirical character (before moving on to take over "The Late Show" from David Letterman next year)?
