AP nat sec reporter named FP editor

Award-winning journalist Lara Jakes of the Associated Press is jumping on-board with Foreign Policy. Just finishing up as AP's national security reporter, Jakes will soon be FP's deputy managing editor.

"It's befitting that my last story 4 @AP is a retrospective: 2014 frustrates US hopes for Israeli-Palestinian peace," she shares.

"Excellent hire by Foreign Policy. The intrepid @larajakesAP becomes its deputy managing editor for news," Barry Malone with Al Jazeera English tweets.

"Bigtime congrats to the amazing @larajakesAP - @ForeignPolicy is lucky to have such a star!" declares AP's Cassandra Vinograd.
