ABC brings in WJLA’s Kendis Gibson

ABC News taps Kendis Gibson as a correspondent. Gibson comes to the network from affiliate station WJLA in D.C., where he served as weekend anchor and reporter. He will start off based in New York for the first couple of months, then return to D.C. to join ABC’s Washington bureau.

“At the ABC studios. prepping for my first on air... keeping tabs of President George HW Bush' condition and the storms on this getaway day,” Gibson tweeted yesterday.

"Extremely excited to welcome @kendisgibson to ABC News as a DC-based correspondent. Great addition to the team!" tweets D.C. bureau chief Jonathan Greenberger.

“Very proud and pleased for @kendisgibson joining @ABC News. They are darn lucky to have him. They must be looking for smart, nice reporters!” concludes RLTV’s Daryn Kagan.
