Chicago Tribune editor heads to amNY

Will Mendelson is moving to New York to take on the role of associate editor for amNewYork. Mendelson is currently wrapping up as assistant editor for the Chicago Tribune.

"VERY, VERY excited to announce that i'll be joining the @amNewYork team late january as an associate editor, and i couldn't be more excited!" he announced on Twitter this week.

"Congrats! Chicago's loss!" reacts Jan Parr with Crain's Chicago Business.

"Welcome to Newsday Media Group. Nice to have another @WUSTL and @studlife alumnus on staff," responds Newsday's James T. Madore.
