AP reporter joins LA Times in Tucson

Jan 07, 2015

The LA Times has made Nigel Duara its national correspondent based in Tucson, Ariz. Previously a legal affairs reporter for the Associated Press, Duara's new gig will emphasize stories from the border as well as around the country.

"Hey I'm a dork here's my first LA Times story, ok I'll see ya," Duara announced Monday.

"That was fast!" marvels Jesse Katz of Los Angeles Magazine.

Meanwhile, new colleague Carolina A. Miranda greeted him, "Welcome @nigelduara to the News Factory!" adding an iconic image from Office Space.

Duara quipped in reply, "Thank you Bob. And Bob. And Carolina. I can't wait to synergize my maximum capacity in service of workplace synergy."
