NYT Inno Report author joins Upworthy

Amy O'Leary, co-author of the New York Times' much analyzed Innovation Report, has just departed for Upworthy. One of the Times' heralded "digital deputies," O'Leary's role at the viral content web site will be that of editorial director. Count us among the many who anxiously anticipate what she'll do for them.

"I never use the term ‘visionary’ but it fits @amyoleary, who is leaving NYT for @upworthy. Will miss her v much!" admits colleague Amy Harmon.

"On @amyoleary's desk, evidence of one hell of a Times career," harmonizes NYT's Lydia Polgreen.

"Everyone is amazing. I love you all," O'Leary tweets, before adding, "Props to @kbsmoke for remembering this about me: 'Ms. O’Leary, who in even casual conversation conveys genuine excitement about analytics' ..."
