Featured journalist: Bethany Rodgers

Jan 07, 2015

Here's to you, Bethany Rodgers, the intrepid reporter for the Frederick News-Post in Maryland who dared to use council member Kirby Delauter's now ubiquitous name without "authorization." We couldn't resist featuring Rodgers today, after the way she stood up for truth and the American press way this past week by simply exercising the First Amendment. This is the seemingly innocuous post that started it all, by the way (263 shares). Now a county and state politics reporter for the News-Post (which is how she understandably came to cover Delauter), Rodgers previously served as a crime reporter for the Maryland Independent before joining her current publication in 2011. We look forward to seeing more of her bylines in the future. Keep fighting the good fight, Bethany!
