Three senior TNR alum go HuffPo

We now know the destination for at least former senior staff members at The New Republic who jumped ship last month: the Huffington Post. Former TNR executive editors Greg Veis and Rachel Morris together with former TNR writer Jonathan Cohn join the Post with an eye on writing longer articles and conducting more investigations.

"So excited for this new project w/ @RachelMorris at @HuffingtonPost. Much more news and a bunch of big stories coming soon," Veis tweets, adding, "And that @CitizenCohn is coming with: amazing."

"Thrilled to be starting a new long form project @thehuffpost with @gpveis. Much more TK," Morris chimes in.

"Excited, honored to join @samsteinhp @ryangrim @aterkel @JeffYoung @kate_sheppard and everybody else at @HuffingtonPost," Cohn harmonizes, adding, "And thanks to @ariannahuff for the opportunity -- can't wait to get started."

Washingtonian's Michael Schaffer reacts, "hiring @gpveis & @rachelmorris good news for HuffPo, bad news for bad writers. & so glad to read more @citizencohn!"
