Based in Canada, Ali began his career in financial journalism at the Business News Network, followed by a turn as a public broadcaster on CBC’s Lang & O’Leary Exchange. Nowadays Ali's byline can be found in the Financial Post on the entrepreneurship and start-ups beat while also occasionally appearing in the Globe and Mail, Toronto Star, Montreal Gazette and Alberta Venture magazine.
