Journalism job moves for Monday

Today's highlight:

  • BuzzFeed UK just named its LGBT editor: Patrick Strudwick is coming for you, haters. Read all about it here.

Meanwhile, elsewhere in the industry:

  • The Wall Street Journal promotes Joe Haberstroh to deputy editor for its greater New York section, covering long-term enterprise. Haberstroh was previously news editor there.
  • WSJ also promotes Andrew LaVallee to deputy editor for the New York vertical, but with a focus on breaking news. LaVallee was most recently senior arts and culture editor there.
  • Samantha Allen is now a crime and public safety reporter for the Worcester Telegram & Gazette in Massachusetts. Allen previously served as a general assignment and breaking news reporter.

Don’t forget - if you change your job in journalism or move to a different news organization, be sure to email Kirsten (kirsten [at] sawhorsemedia [dot] com) so we can reflect your new title. News job changes only, please! Thanks!
