Reuters names first editor for regulation

Reuters has promoted Soyoung Kim to editor in charge of regulation at their Washington bureau, making her the inaugural editor charged with focusing specifically on the regulatory beat. Kim is currently based at the New York bureau as editor in charge of mergers and acquisitions, IPOs and private equity.

"Sad to be leaving M&A but also excited to run regulation coverage for @Reuters," she shares, adding that she'll be "Tweeting from DC in a few weeks."

Wall Street Journal Deals editor Jamie Heller sounds off, "Soyoung, congrats on a great run and best of luck in the new gig."

Kim's New York colleague Olivia Oran chimes in, "we will miss you so much!!! Will take a giant to fill your shoes."

Kim replies, "And I will miss working with you guys so much. We will have a teary farewell over Korean BBQ..."
