Wash Post welcomes Sharif Durhams

Feb 17, 2015

The Washington Post is adding digital journalist Sharif Durhams to its Universal desk, charged with managing its digital platforms. Durhams joins from the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel, where he has served as social media editor.

"Based on my recent followers, I'm guessing some kind of announcement went out. Hello, world," he tweets, later realizing, "Wow. I have my own press release."

D.C.-based health journalist Marissa Evans reacts to the news, "So excited one of my favorite people @sdurhams is headed to @washingtonpost. Finally someone else I can reminisce about Milwaukee with!"

Poynter's Jill Geisler chimes in, ""Great guy! Congrats Sharif & Post!"
