Thursday's question of the day

Feb 26, 2015

Our last question asked: A CPAC website has egg on their face after they made what mistake? They appear to have used Republican Sen. Tim Scott's picture in a bio for conservative speaker Ben Carson. Both men happen to be African American. So far, CPAC spokespeople are claiming it was photoshopped.

Congratulations to Ken Walker of the Tampa Bay Times for being the first to correctly answer that! Honorable mentions go out to David DanielJosephine Dorado (who adds the hashtag #POCPhotoMashup), Annie M. DanceMarilyn Parel (who remarks "Not even a close likeness"), Hollywood HighlandsFrancis Hinchey and Cindi Lash for all getting that right, as well. Also, a nod to Dan Rosenbaum, who responded to the question with "Being a CPAC web site?" We see you, Dan.

As for today's question, here it is: Last summer a shopper at a Goodwill store picked up a bargain sweater for 53 cents. Over the weekend, it sold at auction for $43,000. What made its price go up?
