Friday's question of the day
Our last question asked: Last summer a shopper at a Goodwill store picked up a bargain sweater for 53 cents. Over the weekend, it sold at auction for $43,000. What made its price go up? It turned out to be the sweater of Vince Lombardi, the Hall of Fame Green Bay Packers coach!
Congratulations to Hiram Reisner for being the first to answer that correctly! Honorable mentions belong to John Wall, Craig Pittman, Mark Poepsel (who remarks it's "Worth about 92 pounds of Pule cheese @$576/lb"), Aurora Strategy Grp.'s Marcel Weider, Dan Rosenbaum (quoting Lombardi, "It was the only thing"), Ron Casalotti (who also invoked that quote), Rachel Roh, Kelley Atherton and Hollywood Highlands for also getting that right.
