Featured journalist: Flavia Krause-Jackson

Today's featured journalist is Flavia Krause-Jackson, features writer for Bloomberg Business focusing on megacities and urban trends. Previously Krause-Jackson has been a Nieman fellow (taking a break from journalism to write a screenplay and scratch "that itch") as well as a diplomatic correspondent (during which time she heard the words "condemn in the strongest terms ... too many times") and also a foreign correspondent (in which role she covered "Berlusconi's many cat lives, popes now dead and retired and an economy in eternal recession"). Krause-Jackson became a journalist because she "could not stand the thought of being an investment banker." One of her proudest stories concerned Myanmar, which was "taken from a journal kept during a reporting assignment." Be sure to check out her entire Muck Rack portfolio here, for further samplings of her excellent work.

Remember: If you also want to be featured here, you should 1) set up your own journalist portfolio 2) get verified and 3) let us know by emailing Kirsten.
