Berke joins Boston Globe on new project

Rick Berke is teaming up with the Boston Globe to launch a new start-up with a focus on the life sciences. Berke most recently served as the executive editor of Politico after a long and storied career at the New York Times.

"Congratulations, @rickberke, now joining @BostonGlobe. Great journalist, great city: good things to come," predicts Dan Barry with the NY Times.

Berke responds, "tks dan. i totally trust your take on boston."

"A new chapter for power-journalist @rickberke, this time in Boston, per @DylanByers . That cat has nine lives!" muses NYT's Adam Nagourney.

On the subject of the project, Veasey Conway with Florence Morning News tweets, "@BostonGlobe to start life-sci. vertical. Cambridge needs it. Esp. stories at the intersection of lab & neighborhood."
