New Mashable hire signals fashion focus

Tech and social media news site Mashable has added David Yi as its first official reporter on the fashion beat. Until yesterday, Yi served as a contributor to GQ, Refinery29Harper’s Bazaar, Style.com, Fashionista and beyond.

"Official last day finishing up my freelance articles for @gqmagazine @harpersbazaar @thehundreds @styledotcom @refinery29 it’s been real," Yi posted.

"Excited to announce that fashion reporter extraordinaire David Yi (aka @seoulcialite) is joining @Mashable. Big," tweets executive editor and chief content officer Jim Roberts

"Pumped to welcome @seoulcialite as @mashable's fashion reporter! I knew he'd be right for the job when he was wearing a @Shinola watch," chimes in managing editor Jonathan Ellis.

Yi responds, "yes! And I knew the moment you pointed it out that you, sir, had exquisite taste!"

Looks like a match well made.
