National Journal hires Jeb biographer

National Journal has roped in S.V. Dáte to cover the White House as well as Jeb Bush's anticipated campaign to live there. Most recently an editor on NPR's Washington desk, the NJ role is a fitting one for Dáte, who authored a biography on the younger Bush.

"Thanks, all, for the kind words. I'm thrilled to be joining National Journal and getting back to writing full time. Can't wait to start!" he tweets.

"Psyched to welcome @svdate to @nationaljournal," editor-in-chief Tim Grieve announces.

The Atlantic's Bob Cohn adds, "Here comes the @StanfordDaily takeover."
