Newsweek names culture editor

Newsweek welcomed Cady Drell into the fold this week. Joining from Rolling Stone and previously with Dig Boston, Drell's new role will be that of culture editor.

"Hey everyone! Starting today, I'm the new Culture Editor @Newsweek! c.drell@newsweek.com - holler!" she tweeted Monday.

"It's sadly @hella_drella's last day at RS, so we're sending her off with serious, sage advice," Caryn Ganz previously shared.

For nostalgia's sake, RS senior editor Simon Vozick-Levinson jokes, "hey can you just write like 17 more captions about this one classic rock band, it'll only take a minute ok thanks."

Drell deftly responds, "depends. Is it U2?"

One final reflection from fellow contributor Eric Thurm: "congrats Twitter is often silly but @hella_drella is great and she deserves all of your applause." Noted!
