AP adds Columbus Dispatch reporter

The Associated Press will welcome award-winning reporter Collin Binkley to their Boston bureau next month. Currently a higher education reporter at the Columbus Dispatch in Ohio, Binkley has made a name for himself with "records-driven reporting that shed light on a culture of secrecy at Ohio State University." He joins the AP on June 1.

"Congrats to my 'hard-hitting and relentless' buddy @cbinkley, for snagging a sweet @AP gig in Boston," reacts Kevin Hardy with the Chattanooga Times Free Press.

The Dispatch's Holly Zachariah adds, "'... relentless — the kind of reporter who won't take 'no' for an answer.' Happy for my friend @cbinkley, sad for us."

Meanwhile, at the AP, New England news editor Bill Kole tweets, "Great news for @AP_Boston -- we're getting @cbinkley."
