WSJ shuffles digital leadership

May 08, 2015

At the Wall Street Journal, a few changes in their line-up: Carla Zanoni is now executive emerging media editor, David Ho is named executive mobile editor, Jennifer J. Hicks is promoted to executive digital editor, and Erin White is upped to editor for digital news.

First having joined the Journal in 2014, Zanoni will also retain her role as audience development director there.

"Super proud of @columbiajourn alum @carlazanoni! Go, EEME!" reacts media watcher Sree Sreenivasan.

With the Journal since 2009, Ho previously served as editor of mobile, tablets and emerging technology.

"Congrats to @DavidHo on a new title and responsibilities," tweets McClatchy's Damon Kiesow.

Meanwhile, Hicks most recently served as deputy editor of digital news while White retain her earlier role of deputy real-time news editor.

Don’t forget - if you change your job in journalism or move to a different news organization, be sure to email Kirsten (kirsten [at] sawhorsemedia [dot] com) so we can reflect your new title. News job changes only, please! Thanks!
