AP's Baltimore reporter joins LA bureau

Amanda Myers, who spearheaded coverage in Baltimore for the Associated Press on the death of Freddie Gray and the protests that followed, will soon move to AP's Los Angeles bureau. There Myers will focus on legal affairs, with an emphasis on federal law enforcement and courts.

"Excited to share that I'm joining @AP's Los Angeles bureau, covering federal courts and federal law enforcement," she tweets.

"Tempted to glue @AmandaLeeAP to her chair on her last day in DC. Lucky @AP LA bureau gets her starting May 18," reacts D.C. courts reporter Jessica Gresko.

Breaking news supervisor Skip Foreman chimes in, "Yeah, nail her to the chair until I come back. Enjoyed working with you both in person."
