WashPost adds China correspondent

Emily Rauhala will join the Washington Post next month as a China correspondent based in Beijing. Currently the Beijing correspondent for Time Magazine, Rauhala has "distinguished herself as a cross-platform foreign correspondent with a deep understanding of digital audiences." 

"Yes, happy to say I'll be joining @washingtonpost as Beijing correspondent," she announces.

"So, so excited that @emilyrauhala, @TIME China correspondent and my pal, is joining the @washingtonpost in Beijing," reacts WaPo's foreign affairs writer Ishaan Tharoor, himself a Time alum.

At the International New York TimesSid Acker chimes in, "You GO, rock star! Doing the robot in the newsroom to celebrate."

Rauhala responds, "I'm honored and humbled by your robot, now, as always."
