MoJo co-editors take new roles

This week Mother Jones announced that Clara Jeffery and Monika Bauerlein will don major new mantles at the publication. Previously co-editors since 2006, Jeffery is now editor-in-chief while Bauerlein has assumed the role of CEO.

"Bravo to my co-conspirator @ClaraJeffery, who is now MoJo's EIC while I get to continue conspiring with her (and awesome team) as CEO," Bauerlein tweets, later adding, "Most of all, bravo to the unbelievably brilliant, hard-working, and good-looking MoJo crew. They are about to do some amazing stuff."

"There's more good stuff to come, but for now, off to go drinking! (JK, off to ship the mag. Got your back @clinthendler)," jokes Jeffery. She also concludes, "One last thing. @MonikaBauerlein is the best and it has been and will be so rewarding being her partner in crime."

Meanwhile, MoJo writer and research editor Maddie Oatman reflects, "What happens when u split 1 super brain into 2? @MotherJones investigates, when @MonikaBauerlein becomes our new CEO and @ClaraJeffery EIC."
