BuzzFeed brings in Tiku on tech

May 27, 2015

Nitasha Tiku is the latest to board BuzzFeed's brand new San Francisco bureau, as a senior writer covering tech. Most recently a senior writer with The Verge, Tiku only just joined from Valleywag six months ago. Her hiring coincides with several other big developments in the building out of the SF bureau.

"Hi, I'm gonna be a senior writer for @buzzfeedSF. I'll miss my buddies at The Verge, but excited af to work with @mat," she announces, sharing this link. She adds, "I'm still gonna cause the same kind of trouble. Please send incredible tips and story ideas to nitashatiku AT gmail or whisper in my ear <33."

"Hello, I am @nitashatiku’s personal career scribe, beat reporting on her big new roles. Now at Buzzfeed SF!" jokes the post's author, Business Insider's Alyson Shontell.

At The Verge, Micah Singleton reacts, "I ❤️ and will miss @nitashatiku dearly, but she will kill it at Buzzfeed, just as she has killed it everywhere else."

In response to the outpouring of affection, Tiku concludes, "Okay I'm going to the woods to watch Kylie Jenner vines. Thx for being so nice. Talk to you soon."
