Vox Media has just acquired the news web site Re/code. What does it all mean? Don't worry, Vox has an explainer for that.
"No RIP. @recode lives on, as do the Code Conferences. Just within a great new home with lots of added advantages," announces co-executive editor Walt Mossberg.
Senior editor Peter Kafka bills it, "New gig! Same gig! Better gig! Good stuff. From the bosses ... From the NYT."
"I look forward to using the phrase 'My coworker Walt Mossberg' at every available opportunity," admits Polygon's Dave Tach.
"I have no doubt that Vox Media will succeed in making ReCode's traffic soar, like Curbed's," concludes Fusion's Felix Salmon.
And then there was this: "I love that @nytimes refused to print the slash [in Re/code]," notices IBT's Christopher Zara. Embrace the slash, NYT. You can't win on this.
