TNR's Jamil Smith launches podcast

Jul 15, 2015

The New Republic's Jamil Smith has just added a podcast to his journalistic tool belt. Currently a senior editor at TNR, Smith's podcast "Intersection" will explore issues in diversity such as race, gender and sexuality.

"I’m now the host of a podcast, @IntersectionTNR! Please listen to the teaser and subscribe," he shares on Twitter.

Colleague and new hire Bijan Stephen helpfully tweets, "ayyy check it out @JamilSmith is hosting the @tnr podcast."

Meanwhile, MSNBC's Nisha Chittal reacts, "Congrats to @JamilSmith on his new podcast- can’t wait to start listening."

Need even more motive to subscribe to Smith's new podcast? Feministing columnist Chloe Angyal urges, "Drop everything and add 'Intersection,' @JamilSmith's new podcast for @tnr, to your list of must-listen programming."

Done and done.

Don’t forget - if you change your job in journalism or move to a different news organization, be sure to email Kirsten (kirsten [at] sawhorsemedia [dot] com) so we can reflect your new title. News job changes only, please! Thanks!
