Yahoo Food welcomes NY Post's Smith

Yahoo Food has named Stephanie Smith senior editor, focused on food-related current events, trends and personas. Smith joins from New York Post’s Page Six column, however you may know her best as the creator of the popular food blog 300Sandwiches.com and memoir “300 Sandwiches: A Multilayered Love Story...with Recipes,” in which she made 300 sandwiches after a dare of sorts from her boyfriend-turned-husband.

"End of an era. One of my last days on the masthead for @pagesix. After five and a half years, my last day was Friday. Amazing journey, amazing friends. Incredibly hard to say good-bye. #onward#newchapter," Smith posts to Instagram. And on her blog, under the title "A Reason to Say Yahoo," Smith writes, "Making those 300 sandwiches (and bread. And condiments. And peach cobblers. And marshmallows.) has earned me an amazing new job!"

At the NY Post, colleague Jaclyn Hendricks tweets, "Congratulations Steph! So excited for you :) xox."
