Jamelle Bouie upped at Slate

Slate's Jamelle Bouie has been promoted to chief political correspondent. Bouie was most recently a staff writer there.

"Very pleased to announce my new title (and job, ish) @Slate: Chief Political Correspondent," he tweets, later quipping, "Relatedly: I am changing my tagline from 'The Real Racist' to 'The Real Chief Racist.' Adjust your contacts [accordingly]."

At the Washington Post, Wesley Lowery responds, "huge congrats to @jbouie, officially promoted to chief race baiting correspondent over at Slate," then adds, "in all seriousness, @jbouie is a national treasure - both professionally and personally - even if he is the #realracist."

Don’t forget - if you change your job in journalism or move to a different news organization, be sure to email Kirsten (kirsten [at] sawhorsemedia [dot] com) so we can reflect your new title. News job changes only, please! Thanks!
