Featured journalist: Helaina Hovitz

Aug 31, 2015

We'll start off the week on a positive, socially conscientious note by featuring the work of Helaina Hovitz, managing editor for Good News Network. While Hovitz covers everything from lifestyle to culture and food, her greatest passion is writing about charities, nonprofits, societal issues, philanthropy and inspirational people. She is also a contributor to Forbes and Huffington Post and previously has written for publications that range from the New York Times to the Chicago Tribune to the New York Observer. Oh, and Hovitz also served as co-creator and Editor-in-Chief of Affect Magazine. So she's got quite the résumé! Check out her Muck Rack portfolio here for such social good-oriented pieces as "A Bedtime Experience for Nation's Homeless Children" and "NYC Cribs: The Homes of the Rich and Philanthropic."

Remember: If you also want to be featured here, you should 1) set up your own journalist portfolio 2) get verified and 3) let us know by emailing Kirsten.
