Dallas Morning News names Tomlin ME

Robyn Tomlin will don the mantle of managing editor for the Dallas Morning News starting Sept. 21. The new role also represents a big location change for Tomlin, who is finishing up as a VP for Pew Research Center in D.C.

"So how 'bout those Cowboys?" she tweets, sharing this Romenesko post heradling the announcement. She later adds, "Sad to be leaving the amazing @pewresearch team but thrilled to be joining @dallasnews See y'all soon! #rockoftruth."

"Welcome to the @dallasnews @robyntomlin! Hope you like Tex-Mex and BBQ. Let's rock," invites reporter Eva Marie Ayala.

Colleague Holly Hacker chimes in, "First sign that @robyntomlin will be a great fit at @dallasnews: She starts her note to us with 'Hey y'all.'"
