LA Times' Hennessey returns to the AP

Kathleen Hennessey will soon depart the LA Times to return to her old stomping grounds at the Associated Press. Currently the White House correspondent for LAT, Hennessey will continue on that beat for the AP. She joined the Times from the AP in 2011, when she was a reporter based in Nevada.

"Thrilled" seemed to be the common response to this move:

"My news. I'm thrilled to be headed back to @AP!" Hennessey herself tweets.

"And we are all thrilled to have you back. A talented journalist comes home. Great name, too," responds editor Kathleen Carroll.

"Cannot tell you how thrilled we are that @khennessey is joining our @WhiteHouse team. Huge coup for @AP. Kathleen, welcome to the booth!" heralds White House reporter Josh Lederman.
