Our last question asked: Outrage erupted this week surrounding the Best American Poetry anthology when what was discovered? It seems the anthology included a white author who published some of his work under a Chinese pen name to gain editors' attention. In response, actual Asian poets on Twitter invented the hashtag #WhitePenName to respond to the poetry controversy.
Congratulations to Ken Walker of the Tampa Bay Times for being the very first to answer that correctly! Honorable mentions go out to his colleague Craig Pittman, Lucia A. Walinchus, Tom Reale, Jason Hensel, Chris Lombardi, Robin Soslow, John Wall, Carrie Gray, Hollywood Highlands and Judyth Mermelstein for all getting that right as well!
