Threads we're following this Thursday

"Hi again," the Serial Twitter account posts, changing our lives once again with just two little words (at 5,000 retweets and counting). "When everybody with earbuds on the subway has that familiar faraway look. The return of @serial," heralds Fast Company's Chuck Salter. And this time, season 2 lets Bowe Bergdahl tell his side of the Afghan story. "Let the binge-listening begin," commands Christopher Wynn with the Dallas Morning News. "Everyone in the office is simultaneously downloading @serial," shares Megan Rogers from the Albany Business Review, and we're sure that wasn't the only newsroom stricken by that urge. "Sgt Bergdahl told @Serial he wanted to play Jason Bourne by walking away from a remote Army outpost in Afghanistan," details Eric Owles from the New York Times. "Bowe Bergdahl is such a millennial. Totally self-absorbed, delusions of grandeur, entitled to superiors' attention," reacts Lachlan Markay at the Washington Free Beacon, later adding, "Even when Bergdahl did something potentially laudatory, he did it for the wrong reasons." Freelance journalist John McQuaid suggests we call it "The Bergdahl Ultimatum."
