The Cut hires first features editor

Megan Greenwell joins New York Magazine's The Cut as its inaugural features editor. Beginning Jan. 19, Greenwell will assign and edit everything from cover stories to weekly columns to daily features on sex, advice and more. She most recently served as senior editor for ESPN the Magazine.

"i will be editing longform features and columns and working with the ridiculously amazing @nymag writers and taking many freelance pitches!" Greenwell tweets

"I get to work with @megreenwell again! I love 2016 already," gushes freelance journalist Ann Friedman.

Among the concerns on Greenwell's mind before she begins her new gig: "what if i have forgotten how to talk to humans and when i start my new job i panic and coo 'who's the best pug?' at coworkers?" We're pretty sure they won't mind, if it ever happens.

Don’t forget - if you change your job in journalism or move to a different news organization, be sure to email Kirsten (kirsten [at] sawhorsemedia [dot] com) so we can reflect your new title. News job changes only, please! Thanks!
