  • The New York Times has finally revealed who will fill beloved media writer David Carr's shoes, and it's their chief political correspondent Jim Rutenberg (at right). Read all about it here.

  • Carina Corral returns to San Luis Obispo NBC affiliate KSBY as a weekday anchor starting Jan. 19. Corral rejoins from NBC Fresno, where she had been a morning anchor.
  • Saira Mueller joins The Daily Dot as deputy esports editor, overseeing weekend coverage and assisting in growing the esports section as a whole. Mueller joins from the International Business Times, where she worked as a gaming reporter.
  • Jacob Wolf also joins The Daily Dot's esports team but as a reporter. Previously Wolf freelanced for a number of gaming publications including Esports Heaven, Gfinity, and TheScore.
  • Reporter Josh Raven is another new recruit joining The Daily Dot's on the esports beat. Raven joins from Esports Heaven.
