The Hill's Keith Laing to Detroit News

Feb 24, 2016

Keith Laing of The Hill is headed to The Detroit News, but he won't have to move -- Laing joins their D.C. bureau as Washington correspondent covering auto lobbying and regulation starting next week. A transportation and congressional reporter with The Hill since 2011, Laing's last day there is this Friday.

"Some personal news: After 5 great years, next Friday will be my last day @TheHill. I'll be joining the @DetroitNews' DC bureau on Feb. 29!" Laing tweets.

Stephen Martinko was ready with some quips: "big loss for @thehill but huge gain for @detroitnews Congrats Keith!!! Keep on truckin' (and all other modes of transpo)."
