  • A change in medium: Alex Wagner (at right) departs MSNBC for The Atlantic as senior editor. In addition to writing for the outlet, Wagner will also play a role in its live events and video projects.

  • Starting May 2: Gene Maddaus will join Variety as senior media reporter. In his new role, Maddaus will be covering the intersection of sports, politics, technology, city issues and Hollywood news. Previously, Gene worked at LA Weekly as a staff writer focusing on local news and politics.

  • From Minnesota to MissouriDavid Cazares joins St. Louis Public Radio as an editor for the arts, heath and science. Cazares most recently served as web and distribution editor, arts reporter and podcast host at Minnesota Public Radio.
