Question of the day
Our last question asked: This individual, deemed the winningest coach in D1 history, has just passed away. Who is it? That coach was Pat Summitt, the legendary women's basketball coach who succumbed to Alzheimer's at just 64 but showed a toughness greater than invincibility. May she ever rest in victory.
Well done to communicator Dagmar Ebaugh for being the first person to answer that. Honorable mentions go out to Mark Gibbs, David Daniel (who points out she also had a "100% player graduation rate"), Martin Berliner, Thomas Feyer, Craig Pittman (who admits "I don't know much about basketball but even I've heard of her"), Jade Walker, Ron Casalotti, Elaine K. Howley (who notes "it's a sad day for athletes everywhere"), Kay Bell (who observes Summitt "proved winning is not gender-specific. Thank you"), Ashlee Burt (who dubs Summitt "trailblazing"), Johnalene Baylon, Claudine Laforce (who praises Summitt's "story career of the historic progress toward American athletics equality"), Joshua Milne and Leigh Egan for all getting that right, as well.
As for today's question, here it is: What popular children's toy got a rather odd makeover by Hasbro, and for what reason?
