Ain't no doubt we are here to party. Come on now got to get it started. Thanks to yesterday’s question of the day, I was able to realize my lifelong dream and open a section of the Muck Rack Daily with those two sentences.
We asked: Today, the legendary songwriter Rod Temperton passed away at the age of 66. Although most famous for writing a half dozen of Michael Jackson's best and most popular songs (including "Thriller" and "Rock With You") Temperton had a successful performing career as keyboardist and songwriter for a platinum-selling disco band in the 1970s.
What is the name of the band AND the name of their biggest hit song? (Hint: The name of the song was used as the title of 1997 P.T. Anderson film?)
Answer: The band is Heatwave and the song is Boogie Nights. Congratulations to David Daniel of CNN. He was the first to boogie down and tweet us the correct response. Honorable mention to Mark Heschmeyer, who pointed out “but it’s not like I ever listened to that disco drivel.” Noted, Mark. And it’s totally OK if you have a disco ball in your closet. We won’t judge.
Today’s question: During a rally in this state on Wednesday night, Donald Trump mispronounced the name of the state. Yuuuuuuuge faux pas. What was the state?
