Question of the Day
On Friday, we asked in which country did the tradition to carve Jack-o’-lanterns originate?
Answer: Give yourself a pat o' the back if you answered Ireland
Congratulations to Center Ring Media's Dan Rosenbaum who gets extra points for knowing that the original Jack o'-lanterns were carved out of turnips and not pumpkins, which reportedly did not exist in Ireland during ancient Celtic times. 2nd place honorable mention goes to Ron Casalotti.
(Hey Starbucks, looking for your next big drink sensation? I've got three words for you: Turnip. Spice. Latte.)
Your question of the day for today is…
Not only do we have one more Halloween-themed question for you, but it's also... a GIF CHALLENGE!
All you have to do is name the horror movie shown in the animated GIF below.
(Hint: This classic title—which I'd describe as an R-rated Japanese version of Scooby-Doo directed by Evil Dead-era Sam Raimi—was out-of-print and largely unseen for many years until, decades after its release, it was selected for preservation by the Criterion Collection). Good luck!
