BuzzFeed’s Craig Silverman and Lawrence Alexander no doubt worked tirelessly to bring us this story: How Macedonia Became A Global Hub For Pro-Trump Misinformation. Craig explained: “Teens and young men in Macedonia are cashing in by running pro-Trump websites that frequently push misinformation.” Lisa Tozzi added, “More than 100 websites based in Macedonia are cashing in on spreading fake news about Donald Trump.”

In Newsweek, read an explanation on Why Vladimir Putin's Russia is Backing Donald Trump from Kurt Eichenwald. Kenneth Silber tweeted, “Among @kurteichenwald revelations here: Russia put hacking on hold for time fearing Trump mentally unfit, soon out.”

David Fahrenthold writes, “I've now contacted 433 charities, trying to prove @realDonaldTrump gives ‘tens of millions’ to charity, as he says. What I've found.”

Over at Vox, Matthew Yglesias wrote The real Clinton email scandal is that a bullshit story has dominated the campaign. He also tweeted, “Take a serious look. Inform yourself. Tell your family. There is nothing to this email scandal. It's entirely bogus.”

From The Guardian, news that The FBI is Trumpland': anti-Clinton atmosphere spurred leaks, sources say to Spencer Ackerman. Emma-Kate Symons pointed out, “J. Edgar Hoover would be proud.”

While at Reuters, Mark Hosenball has news that the FBI is examining fake documents targeting the Clinton campaign, according to sources.

In the Washington Post, news that Republicans are now vowing Total War. And the consequences could be immense. Or what Greg Sargent called, “A bracing big-picture.” Paul Waldman elaborated: “The GOP is mounting a termite-level attack on American institutions in the name of destroying Clinton.”

And then there’s this poll, reported on by ABC’s Gary Langer, Gregory Holyk, Sofi Sinozich: Hint of Momentum for Clinton, With Issues a Defining Factor. Rick Klein tweeted, “Clinton 47, Trump 44.”

While Politico’s Gabriel Debenedetti asks this very important question: What if everyone’s wrong? Glenn Thrush called it, “Inside the Democratic freak-out.”

And yes, there is some light at the end of this crap tunnel: News that Beyoncé will campaign for Hillary Clinton. Thanks to Jacqueline Alemany from CBS News for that bit of sunshine. Jax Alemany tweeted: “Scoop! Only thing bigger than Obama? Beyonce to perform at Hillary Clinton GOTV concert in Cleveland tomorrow.”

Also inspiring, this tweet from Congressman John Lewis: “I've marched, protested, been beaten and arrested--all for the right to vote. Friends of mine gave their lives. Honor their sacrifice. Vote.”
