Leaf named Fortune editor in chief; changes at CNN, CBS

Clifton Leaf has been named Fortune magazine’s editor in chief. Previously deputy editor for the magazine, he replaces Alan Murray, who is now chief content officer of Time Inc. Izzy Povich, previously an executive producer for MSNBC, has joined CNN as the new vice president of morning programming. She replaces Jim Murphy, who is now senior executive producer for the documentary unit. Meanwhile at CBS News, Ben Tracy, currently a national correspondent, has been named foreign correspondent and will be based in Beijing this spring. Adriana Diaz will be moving back to Chicago from CBS’s Beijing bureau as a correspondent.
