Siegel to leave All Things Considered; Costa named Washington Week moderator; Snow’s role expands

Robert Siegel, a legendary journalist and NPR mainstay for more than 40 years, is stepping down as host of All Things Considered in January 2018. NPR’s Christopher Turpin, Michael Oreskes and Carline Watson paid tribute in a recent article, Robert Siegel and 'All Things Considered'. They note that a national search will be conducted to find the “next voice of All Things Considered.”

In other career news, PBS has tapped Washington Post political reporter Robert Costa to be the new moderator of Washington Week, taking over for the late Gwen Ifill. And NBC News president Noah Oppenheim has announced that Kate Snow will leave her show at MSNBC to take on expanded duties with NBC News, including anchoring Sunday Nightly News, reporting stories for the upcoming Megyn Kelly-hosted Sunday news magazine show, and reporting pieces for NBC Nightly News, Today and Dateline.
