Vogel, Gogoi on the move; Wired announces hires, promotion

Ken Vogel is leaving POLITICO for The New York Times, where he will work in its Washington Bureau as a reporter covering conflict of interest issues, lobbying and money in politics. Pallavi Gogoi is leaving CNNMoney for NPR, where she will be chief business editor and head of the business desk.

Meanwhile, Wired has announced two hires and a promotion. Jahna Berry, who has been director of news product at Mother Jones, has been named head of content operations. Tom Simonite, previously San Francisco bureau chief for MIT Technology Review, joins as a senior writer. And Maria Streshinsky, who has served as Wired's features editor since 2016, has been promoted to executive editor. She previously served as deputy editor at Mother Jones and editor-in-chief at Pacific Standard.
