Question of the Day

Jun 20, 2017

Yesterday we asked: Who coined the word blurb—meaning the testimonials or quotes printed on the back of books—with an image of “Miss Belinda Blurb in the act of blurbing” on the dust jacket of his book?

Answer: That was Gelett Burgess, who announced YES, this is a 'BLURB'!” on the jacket of a limited edition of his book, Are You A Bromide.

Congrats to Dan Rosenbaum, who was first to tweet the correct answer. And as Margo Howard accurately noted, “My answer to @muckrack Daily's trivia question: Sounded like Mike Kinsley to me, but I looked it up & it's Gelett Burgess, so I can't win.”

Your question of the day for today is…What pop star has, until recently, been running an anonymous Instagram account critiquing onion rings?
