Szvetitz promoted; Zhao moves to CNBC; Lyons Cole joins Business Insider; Eater hires Levin

Mike Szvetitz is the new managing editor for the Richmond Times-Dispatch, replacing Brice Anderson, who retired in April. Szvetitz has been the sports editor for the paper since September 2014.

Helen Zhao is leaving her post as the residential real estate reporter for the Los Angeles Business Journal to start as a rotating news associate at CNBC before settling into a permanent position. Lauren Lyons Cole, who previously worked as a personal finance editor at the International Business Times and a personal finance contributor for TheStreet.com, has joined Business Insider as the Your Money editor.

And Eater, which is expanding its footprint in San Francisco, has hired Rachel Levin as its first dedicated restaurant critic there. She’s a freelance writer who has covered San Francisco extensively and has also written for The New Yorker, Sunset, The New York Times and others.
